Firstly a great big thankyou to all the people who came last Saturday...
A Massive thankyou too for Wayne and the guys at the American car garage...not only did they accept us as if they had known us for years but there was free usage of the kettle and biscuits too....will most certainly be a return visit planned for next time!!!!
The weather rather limited our ride but it did take place and it was DRY too!!!
A great curry with Maxine and Trevor and Elaine made for a fine evening too..not to mention the two i picked up at lunchtime on the Sunday for the journey home...lol
All in all a great time with great friends thanks guys and gals...see you next year same time same place!!!
J.C.

Aaah, but you forget.... There is more than one way to get from point A to point B. The difference? Forward planning.

TBH Trev, the situation being what is and has been since May this year, I am lucky to get anywhere at the moment.

With less than 2 weeks notice about Weston, it was difficult to make plans and get the necessary support in place. As for the Retro rally, even a day trip was out of the question. Even missed Wicksteeds this year as well as not being present at Billing this year.

Hopefully next year should see things approaching normal though.

I'd have loved to have attended but truth be told i knew nothing about it. By the time i found out it was too late to arrange anything given the distance required to travel.

Whenever J.C was ' nominated' I certainly wasnt present (and by the sound of it, neither were a few others).

No worries though. As a few members integral to the events have already decided to meet in the new year along with other agenda items we can discuss ways to publisize club meets to the masses. An announcement via Jamies PA at a set time would be a possibility with the addition of some simply printed flyers?

As we all used to live our lives on forums we rarely missed events and meet publications. Sadly this is no longer the case.

Mike
