Theres Something I intended to do in the mid 70`s , but life, cars and work got in the way .(mainly cars to be honest )
So , after nearly four decades , Ive taken the plunge , and last Sunday I completed my C.B.T. , The first stage of a modern motorcycle test . Theory test next , ....
Wish me luck ...

Yipee...... a customer at my sons shop has just passed his test , so he has lent me his Honda 125 to ride around on ..fun innit ??
Im off to buy a helmet tomorrow ... they tell me times have moved on since Bell open face helmets were the only choice, but Im not convinced . If it was good enough for Peter in 1969 , its good enough for Catfood a few decades later . :D

Oh , Iain , just do it mate . These days the instructors have all the gear , you just turn up , they supply the bikes etc etc . Its a piece of piss to pass the CBT , If you can ride a bicycle, and can drive a car ... you can pass the CBT. Cost me £150 , just turned up at 9 a.m. and went home at 2 p.m with the CBT certificate .
THe CBT is valid for 2 years , so you can do the actual riding test anytime within 2 years . You dont really need a bike, just book a couple of lessons on the instructors bike , then put in for your test .

Its well overdue for a Customcycles chapter of the Hells Angels to be formed.

Yep, thats also on my bucket list but i have no intention to then go out and buy a fireblade or whatever the latest superbike is. I have a couple of honda dax and it would just be nice too lose the Larry the learner plate. I have always liked the style of the Honda 400/4 though.....
