I'm a newbie to the Chooper world. So might have a lot of questions...

Just bought a red 1975 mk2.

Hub - 75 9
Frame - NP5003077

It has been stored in a shed for around 20 years unused by a man in North Yorkshire, where he purchased from a friend in Grimsby, who had had from new.

3rd own and still completely unmolestered.

I'm looking at giving the old girl a tidy up for use over the summer, and possibly a full resto over the winter months.

When I got her home last night it was pretty late so my list of jobs is still pretty small.

Sissy bar/seat all move freely
Few bolts look rusted up (any tips to get free?)
Seat is in perfect condition
Original ribbed brake cables
Gear window and sticker in great condition

All chrome needs a good clean up. - any tips on chrome cleaning will be helpfull. I have read a few article over the past few days on ways to clean/polish it up. Elbow grease, tin foil, chrome polish, car wax....

New tyres/inner tubes (as still rocking the original, very weathered and havent seen air in possibly 25 years!)

Paintwork on the frame is probably 5-6/10. Been debating on powdercoating back to original colour.

Possibly will look at the bearings and all mechanisms this weekend.

Pics to follow (what do you guys recomend for hosting pictures?)

On the chrome, try 00 wirewool and oil, its not the worst bike here or the best. Its a up to you now, how much money you want to throw at it? :D :D

That's a good bike! Looks better than in the eBay pics which makes a change!

If I was you I'd give it a full strip down and clean and rebuild then leave it as is until you want to fully restore.. If you still do once done
